Monday, March 17th

Public Theologians,

After a week away, we are back at the Tap House on Monday the 17th, 5:30-7:00pm.

We will start out hearing from those who were able to travel to hear Pastor Nadia Bolz-Weber last week, and then move on to our weekly topic.

After a lively discussion a few weeks ago, we will revisit the topic of forgiveness, with some fresh perspectives. There are two posts to read ahead of time, if you can:

The first one is quite timely, reflecting on forgiveness and healing in the days to come as Fred Phelps, who founded the Westboro Baptist Church (that actively pickets funerals and other events spewing hate against the LGBTQ community, among other things), nears death.

The second article is from this past October, reflecting on a call from Pope Francis for reconciliation between Lutherans and Catholics.

Come and join the discussion!
