Monday, May 5th

Faithful Public Theologians,

It probably won’t be warm enough to sit on the rooftop patio this week, but even so, we will gather again at the Tap House on Monday the 5th for another theology and faith discussion. 5:30-7, upstairs.

This week, we will take one more shot at gleanings from the Noah film, but this time we will talk more about scripture in general.

Head over to the “onfaith” blog to read Patton Dodd’s recent post. Come to the table with these questions in mind:

  1. What parts of scripture are hardest for you to swallow? Why?
  2. How do you determine which stories are more myth than fact? How? Does that process change how “true” it is in your view?
  3. Have you ever read a scripture story quoting or referencing another (possibly older) scripture story?
  4. How do you react to sentimentality?

See you there.
