In honor of “Good Shepherd Sunday” (this year, April 26th, always the fourth Sunday of the Easter season), let’s do a bit of artistic interpretation.
Head on over to Slate.com and their article here: http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_vault/2015/04/22/history_of_illustration_jc_leyendecker_s_illustrated_23rd_psalm.html?wpsrc
In the post, they highlight the work of an early 20th century artist, J.C. Leyendecker, who interpreted the 23rd psalm in a modern visual style. It’s almost a type of modern iconography.
