Monday, March 2nd

Hi all,

Since we have been talking a lot about what living as a community looks like, we will continue in a similar vein this week with a new wrinkle: “Is social media ‘real life'”? Read and digest this recent post from Bryan Berghoef’s Pub Theology blog: http://pubtheologian.com/2015/02/27/is-social-media-real-life/ . Is technology getting in the way of living life? Has that always been the case as new technology has evolved (mass-produced books, transportation, radio, television)? And similarly, what other mitigating layers of interaction exist in our communities that help or hinder maintaining healthy relationships? And what implications does that have for the way God is made known in our lives as we live faithfully?

See you on Monday, at the Tap House, at 5:30. (Does anyone want to try meeting at Kinney Creek Brewery one of these coming weeks? We may have to wrangle an agreement to keep them open later than their 6pm closing time on Mondays)
